Positive Vibes Only Brings Back-to-School Support to Sauk Village Following Severe Storms

Positive Vibes Only was proud to once again partner with McConathy Public Library and the Village of Sauk Village for our annual Back to School Bash, helping local students prepare for a successful new school year with backpacks, school supplies, encouragement, and plenty of positive vibes.

Originally scheduled for August 1, this year's celebration took an unexpected turn when a devastating tornado and widespread power outages impacted communities throughout the area. With the safety of families and volunteers as the top priority, the event was rescheduled for August 7 at McConathy Public Library.

Despite the challenges caused by the storm, the mission never changed.

Positive Vibes Only, McConathy Public Library, community partners, volunteers, and supporters came together to make sure local children could still begin the school year feeling prepared, confident, encouraged, and supported.

The Back to School Bash was made possible through the generosity of those who donated school supplies, funds, snacks, their time, and other resources. Every backpack and every contribution represented something bigger—a community coming together to invest in its young people, even during challenging circumstances.

The event also served as an important reminder of the strength and resilience of the community. Following a difficult week for many local families, being able to gather, connect, and put smiles on the faces of students made this year's Back to School Bash especially meaningful.
